Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Ranqo ("Service", "we", "us", or "our") — including our Shopify app, website at ranqo.app, and all related services — you ("Merchant" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you are using Ranqo on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Ranqo is an SEO automation tool for Shopify merchants. The Service uses artificial intelligence (AI) to:

• Analyze keyword performance data from your Google Search Console
• Optimize product titles and meta descriptions in your Shopify store
• Generate SEO-optimized blog articles and publish them to your store
• Identify quick-win keyword opportunities and content gaps
• Analyze competitor websites for SEO insights

Ranqo directly modifies content in your Shopify store. You are responsible for reviewing and approving AI-generated content before it goes live (or enabling auto-publish at your own discretion).

3. Subscription Plans & Billing

Ranqo is offered as a paid subscription service with the following plans:

3.1 Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly. Payments are processed by Shopify Billing. By subscribing, you authorize Ranqo to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

3.2 Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically begin and your payment method will be charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.

3.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.

3.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change our prices. Price increases will be communicated at least 30 days in advance via email. Continued use of the Service after the price change constitutes acceptance.

4. Refund Policy

We offer a 3-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. If you are not satisfied within the first 3 days, contact us at support@ranqo.app for a full refund.

After the initial 3-day period, payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

5. Your Responsibilities

5.1 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at support@ranqo.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

5.2 Content Review

Ranqo generates content using AI. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or content that does not reflect your brand voice. You are solely responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before it is published to your store.

5.3 Shopify & Google Compliance

Your use of Ranqo must comply with Shopify's Partner Program Agreement, Shopify's API Terms of Service, and Google's Terms of Service. You may not use Ranqo to violate any platform policies.

5.4 Acceptable Use

You may not use Ranqo to:

• Generate spam, misleading, or deceptive content
• Publish content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Manipulate search engines in violation of their guidelines
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission

6. Permissions & Data Access

To deliver the Service, Ranqo requires the following Shopify permissions:

• read_products, write_products – to read product data and update SEO fields
• read_content, write_content – to create and publish blog articles
• read_analytics – to read store analytics data

You can revoke these permissions at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin. Upon uninstallation, we will mark your shop as inactive and delete all associated data within 48 hours.

Google Search Console connection is optional. You can disconnect it at any time from your Ranqo dashboard.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to your store's content (product descriptions, images, etc.). By using Ranqo, you grant us a limited license to access and process this content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

7.2 AI-Generated Content

Content generated by Ranqo's AI on your behalf is provided to you for use in your store. You are free to use, edit, and modify it. Ranqo does not claim ownership of AI-generated content created for your store.

7.3 Ranqo IP

The Ranqo platform, including its software, interface, and technology, is owned by Ranqo and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ranqo shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of revenue, profits, data, or business opportunities
• Errors in AI-generated content published to your store
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Changes to Shopify's or Google's APIs or policies that affect the Service

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to Ranqo in the 3 months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ranqo from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your use of the Service, content you publish using Ranqo, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Fail to pay subscription fees
• Use the Service in a way that causes harm to Ranqo or other users

Upon termination, we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You may request an export of your data before termination by contacting us.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of Basel, Switzerland. The place of jurisdiction is Basel.

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at support@ranqo.app to resolve disputes amicably.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
